Highlights
In Math, we are starting to work on strategies
to add 2-digit numbers without regrouping.
Today we worked on adding the ones place and the tens place.
We learned that some non-fiction books have
charts and tables. Tables and charts
give us more information and we need to look at them (and not skip over them)!
In Social Studies we are talking about
different cultures and traditions.
This week we are reading the novel “Tigers at
Twilight.”
The blog is posted every Monday and Thursday
(unless either of those days are holidays).
Important Information
Last week we had a kickoff assembly for our “Jump Rope for Heart”
fundraiser. Students will be bringing home and envelope to begin collecting
pledges for our Jump Rope Day, which is on March 17. Funds collected will be
going towards the Heart and Stroke foundation. There are lots of cool prizes
that can be won. All money can be sent in with the student in their envelope,
or register online and easily collect all donations there.
Check out the website at: http://support.heartandstroke.ca/site/PageServer?pagename=jump17_home&s_locale=en_CA
Help show your compassion and start your fundraising today.
All funds need to be collected and returned by March 22, 2017.
