Highlights

Students were very excited to bring their Inuit animal clay projects home on Friday!

In Math, we continued to work on developing a greater understanding 2-digit addition.  Today we learned another strategy to add numbers.  For example, 23+55=

Put the numbers into expanded form:
20+3=23
50+5=55
Add the ones place (3+5=8), add the tens place (20+50=70).  Add the tens and ones together (70+8=78).

In Social Studies, we watched a video about throat singing, which is an Inuit tradition.

The blog is posted every Monday and Thursday (unless either of those days are holidays).
