Highlights
In
Science we did an experiment, which deals with the surface tension of water. First, students had to estimate how many
drops of water would fit on a penny before the water begins to spill off. Then we used eyedroppers to test how many water
drops fit. In Math we are learning our
addition doubles (e.g., 3+3, 4+4, 5+5, etc.).
We played an addition doubles game called slides and ladders. We are currently reading the novel, “Sunset
of the Sabertooth” which takes place in the Ice Age.
Photo
retakes are tomorrow if you sent back the picture form requesting a retake, or
if your child was absent during the initial photos.

Panorama Hills
School Society still collecting gently used children's book donations for our 2nd annual
Used Book Sale!!
We are primarily in
need of leveled readers & chapter books for grade 1-6 readers.
Books can be dropped
off in the boxes outside of the PHS library, beside the grand hall up until
Monday November 13th.
The Book sale will
be held on Thursday November 16th and Friday November 17th in the Grand Hall during Parent/
Teacher Interviews.
Proceeds from the
used book sale go towards prizes given to the students for the Read-A-Thon,
which runs through the month of December.
This is a great
opportunity for the students to get some "new to them" reading
materials to kick off their Read-A-thon success!!
