Highlights
On Monday, Mrs. Paull read “The Recess Queen”
by Alexis O’Neill, which is a story about a girl called Mean Jean. We had a class discussion about the
differences between someone being rude, someone being mean, and someone who is
a bully. We also talked about strategies
to deal with problems (e.g., tell the person to stop, go to an adult for help).
We finished our Arctic animal presentations on
Google Slides.
In Math, we have continued to work on
subtraction.
On Thursday, we worked with author Cathy
Beveridge. We learned about aspects of
legends and each student started planning their own legend about an Arctic
animal using a story organizer. Ms.
Beveridge will continue to work with us next Friday, Feb. 8.
We read the novel “Tonight on the Titanic” by
Mary Pope Osborne.
