Highlights
This week we have been busy researching Arctic
animals and putting our findings into Google slides.
In Language Arts, we started to learn about
how and why stories. In February, author
Cathy Beveridge will be working with us to create our own how and why type
stories.
On Wednesday, we participated in a mobile
escape room activity. Students had to
problem solve and work together to complete puzzles and challenges before a set
time limit.
In Math, we have talked about different
strategies for subtracting numbers.
1. Count back.
8-2= (start at 8 and count
backwards 2)
2. Count up. 12-9= (start at 9 and count up to 12)
3. Use knowledge of
addition. 7+7=14, so 14-7=7
We read the novel “Hour of the Olympics.”
We finished our floor hockey unit in Gym
class.
