Highlights
-In Math, we continued
to work on strategies to add numbers in our heads (mental math). We also learned about increasing
patterns.
-In Language Arts, we
read a non-fiction book about red foxes and made jot notes about what we
learned. Then we wrote about these
animals in our journals.
-We started learning
how to use a Word document on the computer.
Students wrote words which describe themselves and then typed these on
the computer. We are also learning to
change the font and size of the words.
-It was DEAR (Drop
Everything and Read) Day on Wednesday.
Here a link to Ms.
Kreze’s music blog for students to practice their songs for the winter concert.

facts to 20.
-Practice the spelling
list provided at conferences
Ask me about:
-The flag of
Nunavut. Do you remember what the gold
and white colours stand for? (Land)
Blue? (Sky) Red? (Shows that Nunavut is part of Canada)
-What does the word “increase”
mean?
