Highlights

Welcome back!  The forecast for the week looks a little chilly!

This month we are focusing on the concept of subtraction during Math.  During Science we tested a variety of materials to see if they would absorb water or not.  Tomorrow we will be starting a unit about non-fiction text.  Students will be learning about different non-fiction text features and we will be working on strategies to help us understand non-fiction books.  We also read a non-fiction book about how ice-cream is made.

Important Information

-Please return your Read-a-Thon sheets and any fundraising money by January 10th.

Ask me about:

What does the word absorb mean?  What were some materials, which absorbed water?  What materials did not absorb water?
