Highlights
In Social Studies we are starting to learn
about 3 different communities in Canada.
We will be studying Saskatoon in Saskatchewan, Iqaluit in Nunavut, and
Meteghan in Nova Scotia. During Math, we
practiced using a group of 10 to help us estimate 2 handfuls of counters. After we made our guesses, students put the
counters into groups of 10 to help them count the total number. We started reading the Magic Tree House
novel, “Mummies in the Morning” and looked at pictures of pyramids in Egypt.
Don’t forget that it is picture day
tomorrow for grade 2 students!
