Highlights

-Last Friday our class did an excellent job during our practice lockdown.
-This week we will be starting 2-digit subtraction with regrouping.
-In Science, we are learning about evaporation.
-We started the novel “Twister on Tuesday.”

Volunteers Wanted
Next Wednesday, April 19 we will have an Acadian presentation.  We are looking for 3 parent volunteers from approximately 9-11 am that day.  If you have a volunteer security clearance and would like to help, please email Ms. Bain at lcbain@cbe.ab.ca.

Friday, April 14- Good Friday (No School)
Monday, April 17- PD day for teachers (No school for students)
Tuesday, April 18- Earth Day/Virtue Assembly
Wednesday, April 19- Teachers Pet Acadian Presentation
Thursday, April 20- Healthy Hunger Lunch (Mothers Pizza); School Council meeting at 7 pm.

Homework
-Practice spelling words
-Reading/Raz-Kids  (Don’t forget to sign the reading log sheet)
-Math:  Dreambox or Coolmath website
*Keep practicing your basic math facts (numbers which add to 18).  This makes adding and subtracting 2-digit numbers much easier!

Which wet paper towel dried the fastest?  The one hanging, or the one in front of the fan?  Why?
