We also had an opportunity on Friday to show
our Grade 4 buddies our Celebration of Learning work
.
In Math, we worked on using a single unit
(e.g., one snap cube) to measure objects.
We will test our boats in water next
week. We are also starting our next Science
Unit on Small Crawling and Flying Animals.
Important Information
Monday June 3: Field
Trip to Inglewood Bird Sanctuary (Mrs. Snow and Ms. Bain's classes)
Permission
forms will be sent home next week. Please
sign and return the forms by Thursday, May 30.
Thank-you
to our parent volunteers who have signed up to help supervise! We have reached the required number of
supervisors.
On
Monday, June 3 please have your child:
- dress
for the weather as half our activities will be outside
-
wear running shoes or comfortable shoes for walking (no sandals)
- bring
a backpack with their lunch, 2 snacks and a water bottle
-
wear any necessary sunscreen, hats, or insect repellent
- bring
any inhalers or epi-pens in their backpacks
A
note about the field trip with more details will also be sent home next week.
Homework
Students will be
designing their own clay plates. Think
about what colours, or symbols you could put on your plate to represent you!
Home reading-students
are encouraged to pick and read “just right” books from the library or from
home. They may also continue to do
Raz-Kids, or read the new home reading books, or the paper books from the
school.
