Highlights
We
will be going on a field trip to Inglewood Bird Sanctuary on May 1 as part of
our Small Crawling and Flying Animals unit in Science. Field trip forms will be sent home next week. In Math we have been using ten sticks and
ones to develop the concept of borrowing when doing 2-digit subtraction. We are also reading the novel “Viking Ships at
Sunrise.”
Please dress your children accordingly for the
weather this week. The temperature is forecasted to rise significantly
and we are expecting our school grounds to be wet and slushy. Rubber
boots, splash pants and a change of clothing in the backpacks would be greatly
appreciated.
